Midwestern Region Vice President, Bro. Dr. Elgie Sims and Assistant MWRVP Bro. Frederick Cox, (OH) host the 80th MW Region conference this weekend. Members from around the state--even Indiana--left Columbus, OH, enroute to Minneapolis, MN. Brothers will be looking at an altered schedule, from the final Agenda sent a week ago. Bro. Sims, per his Alphanet letter, April 11, 2012, has provided an update to reflect as following changes to the Convention Schedule:

State of the Fraternity Address changed to Friday Morning
The State of the Fraternity Address will be given during the Opening Business Session at 8am in Ballroom III & IV. This is a change from the earlier schedule where the address was going to be given during the First Business Session at 5 pm. Additionally, Brothers will be allowed to engage in a question and answer session following the address.

Nomination for Assistant Vice President moved to Opening Business Session
In order to allow candidates for Assistant VP Bro. Cox to address Brothers during the General Candidates Forum, scheduled from 4pm - 5pm, nominations for the office of Assistant Vice President have been moved from the First Business Session to the Opening Business Session. Polls open at 8am, Saturday April 14, 2012.
Fiscal Officers Roundtable
Brothers Steven Sims, Comptroller (OH), and Hyacinth Ahuruonye will engage interested brothers in a discussion on the fiscal affairs of the Fraternity, on Friday, from 2:15 - 3:45pm, in Ballroom III & IV. Please note, this session will occur at the same time as Workshop II events: Inspiring Leadership; IMDP Certification, Pt.2; Time Management; Investing and Savings, and Neophyte Training.

Brothers will have the opportunity to discuss, make recommendations and offer resolutions for consideration by the Regional Convention during the Second Business Session, Saturday, April 14 at 8:30am.

District Director Bro. Dr. Willis Lonzer and his assistant, Bro. Aaron Stokes, are scheduled to greet the Ohio delegation during its Ohio Caucus, Friday evening, at 7P. Bro. Lonzer will be closing his administration, this weekend, to provide transition for the incoming district Team, lead by District Director-elect Bros. Brandon R. Tucker, and his assistant, Bro. Chad Tillman.
