Ancient Egyptian Boat To Be Restored In Effort To Boost Tourism (PHOTOS)
CAIRO, Egypt (AP) — Archaeologists have begun excavating a 4,500-year-old wooden boat found next to the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of Egypt's main tourist attractions, Egypt's top antiquities official said Thursday. The boat is one of two buried next to the pharaoh Khufu in what appeared to be a religious custom to carry him in the afterlife.
Khufu, also known as Cheops, is credited with building the Great Pyramid of Giza. Khufu founded the 4th Dynasty around 2680 B.C. and ruled Egypt for 23 years.

Greetings to the Brothers of the District of Ohio!
It is my sincerest hope that this letter finds you all in good spirits. As we approach the General Convention, I wanted to extend warm congratulations to those who are able to attend this year and ask our Lord and Savior for travelling mercies for all of our brothers and families.
Today, I am announcing a few leadership changes that will affect our district. In an effort to help brothers serve in areas of interest for them as well as simultaneously allowing continued fraternal development, I am pleased to announce that Brother Brandon Tucker, Alpha Xi Lambda (Epsilon Alpha), will serve as the District Executive Director. Brother Tucker will oversee the administrative tasks for the District Leadership Team. Brother Dr. Lateef Saffore, Delta Alpha Lambda (Alpha Zeta) will serve as Chairman, Long Range Planning and Brother Carl Kirkland Delta Alpha Lambda (Xi Chi) will serve as Chairman, Conference/Round-up Logistics. These two roles will work in concert in our efforts to ensure smooth activities surrounding our district conference and round-up meeting. Please join me in congratulating these brothers as they continue to serve Alpha Phi Alpha.
As I close, please accept my sincerest congratulations and well wishes to all of the fathers in our ranks. Happy Fathers Day, brothers!
Fraternally,
Willis Lonzer
